Attracting Yard Salers

There is certainly an art to attracting people to your yard sale.

The most important aspect of getting people to come to your sale
is to get there attention while driving. The majority of people going
to yard sales are driving there because they noticed an ad at the
edge of the road while out yard saling. Be sure your signs on the
edge of the road are bright with bold lettering and
clear instructions to your sale.

For every street the drivers need to follow to get to your sale,
make sure there is a sign. You don't want people getting lost
on the way to your sale. They could end up at someone
elses yard sale. Giving people signs at regular intervals
is vital to ensuring that they do not get lost.

Also, posting ads prior to your sale in a classified ad or
on the internet makes sense at least a week before the sale.
If posting at Yard Sale Postings.com, be sure to post
early, so as to give yard salers a chance to plan ahead.

The final way to attract folks to your yard sale is to have a great
display at the actual sale. The better your display, the better the
chances that a carload of shoppers will stop.

Remember the yard saler motto:
"Sometimes you see something. Sometimes you don't see nothing."

The point here, is that if people aren't given a reason to pul over, they'll gladly keep driving.
