Specific price or best offer?

Attracting
yard salers

Do you really want to sell it?

Do you really want to sell it?

In the last article, we discussed the importance of giving people
a reason to pull over. But, before putting that antique stereo out
on the lawn at a discount price, be sure that you want to sell it.

A kid with a few bucks in his pocket might convince grandpa to
sell the thing for less than it is worth. In this event, a serious point
of friction could occur between grandma and grandpa. This is
where it is crucial that everyone working at the sale know exactly
what is being sold, why, and for how much.

If you find something to be of value, you might not want to sell it.
If you do decide to place something valuable for sale in the sale,
have a sign with the item, stating that the price isfirm. That way,
no confusion can occur with haggling.

Or better yet, if you don't want to sell the item, don't put it out on the lawn,
garage, or barn, where the risk is all too real.
